Mrs Lloyd asked us what the paint was called that we have been using. Téa asked for a clue!
Starts with the sound 'g'. We all couldn't remember what it was called. It is GLAZE! We must try and remember that. Mrs Lloyd will test us next week.
We went over the rules when working with Glaze paint. One very important rule is we don't mix the colours of the glaze. We also do not use too much glaze on our brush otherwise it will look lumpy when painted onto the tile.
We finished glazing out tiles today now we wait and see what they look like when they come out of the Kiln which is a very hot oven! We will keep you posted.
We had Evandale Assembly in the Big Space today and practiced some of our songs for the Christmas concert. We are getting use to the words and better at remembering them. Miss Jeong taught us a new pirate song, which KS will be performing for the concert.
Our library lesson was on ROAD SAFETY and Ms McMullan placed a pretend pedestrian crossing onto the library floor. We had to cross it walking slowly and before we went across we had to look both ways. We learnt that we must not run across the road. Even if there is a sign there we still need to look before crossing. We must not stop on a crossing, this is dangerous because the cars could hit you. We watched a video called "How to Cross the Street" and saw a boy doing all the wrong things and the cars were getting very cross with him.
We must remember to always STOP, LOOK THEN CROSS THE ROAD ALWAYS WITH AN ADULT.
Miss Jeong continued to work with her Mermaid group today and Miss Mckendry worked with the fairies. Our Land of Make Believe Room is nearly complete.
Mrs Abfalter worked with some girls on number formation 6-10.
