Thursday Thoughts

We read a story called 'Lucy Goosey' by Margaret Wild & Ann James. We talked about the title and what an author and Illustrator does. We all knew that a blurb is information about the story on the back of the book. We also predicted what the story might be about.

The story was about Lucy Goosey and how she came to face her fears. Everything doesn't seem that bad when you tell someone how you feel.

We practised counting backwards by playing a game called BUZZ! It was heaps of fun and we can't wait to play again.

We had dancing outside today and had a lot of fun pretending to be crocodiles. We had to have a partner to do the tango! This was tricky but we all did really well.

Today in music Mrs Clouston got us to sing a number of different songs and we had to pick the beat and the rhythm out. We did this by drumming and listening really hard. We used a puppet to clap to the beat. This was nice and we found it really interesting.

Tonight we are going to sing to mum and dad 'Teddy Bear Teddy Bear' before we go to bed.

We did some more project work with Miss Jeong and Miss McKendry today. The Mermaid Group finished their final touches to the mermaid home, and the Unicorn Group continued to make their magical paper.

We are almost finished and we can't wait for you to see all our hard work!
